What is therapy and how can it help me?

Therapy, also referred to as psychotherapy or counseling, is the process of meeting with a trained therapist to help you work through problems you may be experiencing.  It provides an opportunity to explore and change the way you relate to your emotions and thoughts so that you can live a more productive life. It can also be a way to work through everyday challenges like managing school or career concerns, relationship conflicts, improving parenting skills, strengthening stress management, or adjusting to a change in life circumstances.  Therapy is also helpful for recovering from or learning to cope with serious mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, or eating disorders. No matter what the issue is that you are facing I provide a safe space for you to explore, talk, and find solutions. Read further to learn more about how I might help you with the particular challenges or difficulties you may be confronting.
